That actually sounds like something I'd like to see! I suppose it's not coming out in America, though...

Me too. It might. My mom probably won't let me see it. She calls Lost disturbing when it's just a simple mind game or some shooting. I don't see it most of the time.

I kinda doubt my parents would let me see it either. I think my mom may have gotten past the 'disturbing' thing, for the most part, anyway, but still...moms.

Oh, your parents made you watch the Passion too? (Or did you choose to?) Mine are going to make me watch it sometime this week, probably. I almost had to watch it instead of going to Elizabeth's for her birthday. That's the only reason I didn't go. I really don't want to see it. I'm not afraid to see it, like I'm not going to be able to handle it, it's just really not something I'm interested in seeing. And when I found out it was 3 hours...oh, jeez, that's fine if it's LOTR, but I'm still trying to figure out how they can manage to have that much time on one event. I don't want to have to sit through that.

I didn't want to watch the whole thing because of the exact same reasons. But I ended up watching part of it. I'm a crybaby anyway so you can imagine what it would be like for me . I avoided it as much as possible. Mom got really upset with us because we'll watch Pirates but we won't watch the Passion but the Passion was about a real event. And the fact that all that suffering was for me really tears me up. Everything in Pirates I know is fake (Lord of the Rings was a bit more real for me) so I took it very easily.

And plus, POTC is silly.

Yeah, the humor and almost corniness of it really makes it "light" violence or whatever.

Exactly. I love how they make corny jokes, and the jokes themselves aren't funny, but the fact that the people in the movie think they're funny (or, in the case of the catfish conversation, don't get it ) make them funny to the person watching. "What got into 'im?" "Musta seen a catfish. Heheheh..." "...Ha ha ha! Ha ha! Stupid mongrel!!"

You know how many times I have heard the whole catfish thing? It makes it totally stupid but Ragetti's utter blank reaction to it is hilarious!

I love them so much!! Pintel and Ragetti almost tie with Jack for my second favorite characters. I go around repeating that all the time, especially when my ridiculously slow sister doesn't get one of my dad's ridiculously lame jokes.

Yay for Gollum. Not the greatest recognition possible, but good for him anyway. *hugs Gollum for some strange reason*
