Mom's watching the new one right now. I'm fairly certain it won't have Charlie in it. I read that he had only one appearance in this season and we saw that.

THE HOBBIT: New Line Cinema was just sued by the Tolkien estate, claiming that they did not pay full royalties or something like that. This may push back the production of The Hobbit.

*sigh* Sometimes I just can't stand people. Fighting over whether or not they got enough MONEY for something. Honestly. Do they have to sue?

I know! That's what drives me crazy with these movie companies. Biting each other heads off for stuff that's not that big a deal. Just for money!!

I mean, I understand about getting what's yours but couldn't they, like, talk about it instead of just suing? What is this world coming to? *banging head on desk*

My question exactly. Just make them pay for it! Don't sue, stupid people!

Suing, IMO, is for when you need something and the people and being absolute morons about it. But it would seem there was no warning there.

www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1577524/20071221/story.jhtml?rsspartner=rssYahooNewscrawler <<I don't remember if I posted that or not...it's an older article and I just wanted to comment on it and Joaquin Phoenix: Russell Crowe as Bard: No way. Crowe has a far too gentle look on his face to be "a grim man". Joaquin Phoenix as Thranduil: I think he's a very talented actor after watching The Gladiator but he just doesn't look enough like Orlando Bloom, you know? Phoenix has very intriguing eyes and a unique face but he also looks like he hates everyone's guts. He's used to playing disturbing roles, etc. No doubt he could pull it off, I just don't think he'd pass as Leggy's daddy.

I agree on both of those. Particularly on Phoenix. Doesn't look very much like Orli at all. However, as far as Crowe, he probably could pull it off, but just with a normal expression, he does look a little too placid.

In The Gladiator Crowe was killing people left and right and even killed the Emperor (Phoenix) but he never looked angry. To me he sort of looked like he was just going through the paces. I guess I just imagined someone far more GRIM for Bard.

Hmm...haven't seen it... And people were dissing Orli in KOH for being 'no Russell Crowe'.

Ditto. That was my exact thought when I read that. "Of course he's not! He kicks Crowe's a--butt!"

Crowe's a good actor, I'll give him that. But what does INDIVIDUALITY count for anymore? Seems it doesn't count for anything.
