Recently finished The Restless Dead. It was a collection of 10 short stories by a bunch of different authors, and I don't feel like listing them all.

Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke. So far, very good!! Well, technically there's some swearing and the bad guy ... let's just say he's repulsive when it comes to pleasure But nothing graphic at all ...

They any good?
The Scarlet Letter--Nathaniel Hawthorne <<I'm almost done with it. Had to read it for Literature. Enjoyed what I've read. It's sort of an emo/twisted book, but with underlying Christian values. Kind of cool.

Pretty. Not the best I've read, of course, but rather good.
That sounds interesting...I love emo/twisted stuff...books, music, art...

Cool. I still sorta want to read Twilight. I don't know. I'm not sure if I can handle the over-emotional stuff, yet in some ways, I like that. Both twisted dudes DIED last night (in the chapter I was reading). It was cool lol Now I can finish Inkdeath.

Just finished The Mediator #3: Reunion like, an hour or two ago. Twilight wasn't bad. Not that great, imo (although 99% of the teenage (and partially adult) female population would like to rip my head off for saying that), but not bad by any means. I'm pretty much indifferent about the whole thing. I'd recommend you read them, though, just so be up on the whole thing and at least understand what's going on when you're around a group of fangirls where that's all they talk about (that's likely to happen, too. All the time, the girls get talking, and the conversation always circles back to Twilight. ). As far as the emotional stuff goes, I have no problem with that, either--just as long as there's gore and guts to balance it out. Sorry if I'm scaring you; it doesn't even necessarily have to be blood (although that's preferable, lol), even just action. Twilight did have some action, but it was only just one or two, maybe three or four, often relatively short scenes per book, usually near the end. In the 4th, they didn't have one fight scene. There was the birthing scene, which was pretty bloody, but that doesn't really count, and there's a death near the end, but it's very quick and clean. So...yeah. You know me. I like my blood and guts. Especially since it's vampire book, so in my opinion, it should involve a bit more of that stuff. A really good vamp series, though, I think, is The Morganville Vampires. I really like those. They're mostly action/sometimes-violence as opposed to a lot of mushy, touchy-feely stuff.

Yes, yes. Definitely needs some action/violence/blood/gore/guts to balance it out. Part of the reason I loved The Patriot so much. The romance was, like, nothing special, but it was SO INCREDIBLY sweet just because you watch about 2.5 hours of violence then only .5 hours of romance. It was awesome.
Like you said, I just may read them just to be up on the whole thing.
