You're reading The Historian?!?! I loved that! What do you think so far?
I finished The Sword and the Miracle by Melvyn Bragg last night, and before that I read In the Eye of Heaven by David Keck. Both were good, although The Sword and the Miracle was too fanatically religious. (The main character is a saint, so...)

Yes, I'm reading it. Much to my mother's dismay. I keep trying to explain that the vampires are the bad people (because she keeps insisting that we read books with evil only if the evil is in the right context) and that I'm not going to read a ton more books with vampires. Possible one more someday. Oh well. At least she's letting me finish it. I'm almost done with it and I've loved it. Sometimes a bit in-depth for me, but really good. Educational. . .

I like vampire books. And they're not always bad. Glass Houses was really good (in there, the vamps were bad, but you know...). I wanna read The Dead Girl's Dance. The Historian is very in-depth. I can see how it could be a bit tedious at times. I liked it though, though I wasn't crazy about the ending...

Last night I finished House by Ted Dekker and Frank Peretti. I finished it within a few hours. It was very good. It's a supernatural thriller with a Christian message. This is probably one of the only if not THE only Christianity-based book I've read that I really, really liked. I started Rhapsody by Elizabeth Haydon this morning and like it so far. Next I'm reading The Outstretched Shadow, the first book of The Obsidian Trilogy, by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory.

YOU READ THAT?!?!?! YAY!!! I read Monster by Frank Peretti and adored it. I want to read all of his and Ted Dekker's books now, as well as all the Left Behind books. (I read the Kids ones and they were okay, just extremely simple to read.)
I finished The Historian. I confused me too. What was that bit at the end for? lol
Now I'm focusing on finishing Being a Girl Who Loves.

Oh, no, I didn't mean the VERY end. I got that part (maybe not, but I think I interpreted it right...). I meant when they kill him. Kinda disappointing for me, for some reason... I finished Rhapsody last night and began The Outstretched shadow this morning. Rhapsody was very good. Achmed and Grunthor make me laugh. Achmed's really very serious, but once in a while he makes those comments that are really rather comical. Even though he's quite a crankybutt when you think about it, I really liked him. Grunthor's the type you just wanna hug, even though he's fierce and can be quite intimidating. Anyway, I'm liking The Outstretched Shadow so far (though I only just started the second chapter; they're quite long). And though I haven't gotten to those parts yet, I know it involves centaurs, fauns, unicorns, and ELVES, all of which I'm certain will make me very happy.

*rubs hands together* I love it!! The Historian ... when they killed him, I was pretty much indifferent. Although it would've been cool if they let him live. Reading The Visitation by Frank Peretti right now and enjoying the five chapters I've read

I'm about...12 or so? (<< uncertain estimate because am too lazy to go look) chapters into The Outstretched Shadow. It's good so far, and does a good job of ticking me off (but you're supposed to be ticked off by it), which I like for some reason. Elizabeth let me borrow Breaking Dawn (the last Twilight book ;D , and I read the first two pages of it last night and haven't gone any further (I'd like to finish TOS first, so I've been making an effort to read a lot).
